Cybord is looking for a passionate Python Backend Engineer to join our growing R&D team.We build advanced AI systems that inspect electronic components during manufacturing, ensuring quality and authenticity at scale.Our technology combines AI, image processing, and real-time data pipelines to detect defective and counterfeit parts, helping top manufacturers protect their products and customers.Integrated directly into production lines, Cybord provides real-time component analysis, traceability, and supply chain visibility.With growing demand driven by global regulations, tariffs, and initiatives like the CHIPS Act, our solutions are trusted across critical sectors including automotive, aerospace, computing, defense, and medical technology.Cybord is redefining how manufacturers achieve reliability, transparency, and quality in electronic production.ResponsibilitiesIn this backend development role, you will:

Design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend systems for real-time image and data processing.
Architect microservices for cloud and on-premise, using clean architecture and reusable patterns.
Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with a focus on long-term quality and reliability.
Collaborate with DevOps, ML, and frontend teams to deploy and improve critical systems.
Contribute to the evolution of our infrastructure using GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
Define and implement robust test strategies (unit, integration, automation).
Contribute to containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.

Requirements

4+ years of backend development experience, preferably in Python.
Experience building and deploying microservices in Linux with Docker & Kubernetes.
Strong grasp of clean architecture, scalable design, and reusable code patterns.
Familiarity with message brokers and event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka).
Experience with CI/CD and GitOps tools (e.g., ArgoCD).
Proficiency with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, SingleStoreDB), including schema design and performance optimization.
Proven commitment to software quality and best engineering practices.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; independent learner, self-directed.
Interest or experience in AI/ML systems, or willingness to learn.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
