Our team has extensive experience developing highly scalable, high performance, distributed, elastic, robust, infrastructure software solutions.The roleRegatta develops a distributed database from scratch. We are looking for an Observability Engineer to join our company and play a leading role in the design and implementation of advanced observability functionality that are core to the reliability and performance of our distributed database platform. In this role, you'll play a critical part in shaping how we monitor, trace, and understand system behavior in complex, large-scale deployments. From instrumenting key components within the database engine to designing external tools and dashboards, you’ll help ensure that Regatta operates with maximum visibility, performance, and resilience. You’ll work closely with the product and infrastructure teams, and your work will directly influence how we detect anomalies, prevent outages, and maintain a seamless experience for our users.This is a hands-on role combining architecture and implementation responsibilities. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone with deep technical expertise and a strong sense of ownership. Everybody at Regatta - regardless of work experience - has full ownership of the product's architecture and design, software development, and quality assurance. In addition to hands-on software engineering work, we highly encourage leadership, communication, teamwork, and cooperation.Requirements

Academic degree with high grades in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar fields
Strong systems design skills, with the ability to understand and develop complex distributed systems
Both analytical and an executor, that works in a systematic and orderly manner, with a bias toward execution and detail
High level of personal drive, ambition, and ownership
Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
