Learn more at **flexera.com**We are looking for an experienced backend developer to join our cloud compute team. Our backend developer will be responsible for the design, development, testing and maintenance of our API-based and database-driven web applications that will drive our software engineering efforts and provide crucial control tools for our customers. Now part of Flexera, Spot optimizes cloud infrastructure to always be highly available and for the lowest possible cost, we revolutionize the way businesses manage their cloud.**Responsibilities:**Develop new product features and infrastructures including testing and debugging complicated problems and algorithmsWriting design and architecture documents, research and finding the best technological solution in terms of scalability, high availability, redundancyIntegrate with all sorts of parts of a system, such as MySQL, Elastic, Redis, AWS services etc.Strong Collaboration with DevOps, SRE and other development teamsJob Requirements:

Strong fundamental software engineering skills (design patterns, algorithms, data structures)
At least 3+ years of experience as a backend developer
Object-oriented development experience
Experience working in a cloud-native environment
Experience working in a Linux environment
Object-oriented development

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Java, Spring
Experience working with AWS
Experience with code infrastructure's development
Ability to work independently and lead others if required
Team player with strong social and communication skills
Worked in an Agile development environment such as Scrum/Kanban
