A fast-moving startup, backed by top-tier Silicon Valley investors (Y Combinator, General Catalyst, SV Angel), is hiring a Senior Backend/System Engineer.They're building the next generation of autonomous defense systems, combining AI, smart cameras, and real-time natural language interfaces to protect sensitive locations.And it's already working - their platform is actively used by clients like Shin Bet, the Singapore Ministry of Defence, Teva, and more.About the role:You'll be joining the core engineering team with massive ownership, shaping infrastructure, distributed architecture, and AI-powered systems from the ground up.Core requirements:

4+ years of backend/system engineering in production environments
Deep experience with distributed systems, networking, and databases
Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability stacks
Proficient in Python
Experience with pub/sub systems (Kafka, MQTT)

Big pluses:

Experience with AI inference frameworks (Triton, TensorRT, ONNX)
Knowledge of LLM integration, RAG, agent frameworks
Scalable stream processing for video data
GPU/edge/real-time system experience
Background in security, defense, or government tech
