MicroTech is a cutting-edge start-up developing innovative implantable wireless sensors that monitor cardiac pressure variations for various heart conditions.Our multidisciplinary R&D team combines expertise in software, algorithms, physics, electronics and mechanics, working collaboratively to bring a life-changing technology to the market.Head of Applied physicsKey Responsibilities:

Leading and conducting theoretical and practical research
Develop, test and analyse new technologies, materials, methods and devices
Utilize computational tools for data analysis and simulations
Design and improve of the implants and MEMS based sensors
Ongoing collaboration with the team engineers, scientists, and technicians to integrate physics-based solutions into products or processes
Prepare scientific and technical reports, publications, and patent applications
Ensure compliance with medical industry regulations and safety standards

Requirements:Education & Experience

PhD or MSc. in Applied Physics/ Physics or related fields
Additional technological degrees- Advantage
7+ years of research and industrial proven experience in applied physics

Skills & Qualifications:

Highly experienced with semiconductor physics and manufacturing processes
Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving approach
Proficiency in computational modelling (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C++)
Experienced in ultrasound physics and ultrasound transducers: theory, design and applications- Advantage
Highly experienced with lab instrumentation, experimental techniques.
Data analysis and statistics high hands-on capabilities
Ability to work independently and to be part of an interdisciplinary team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Industry experience in medical devices development**-** Advantage
