- Monitor & Manage Payments (Real-Time)
- Track all incoming and outgoing payments (fiat and crypto) across global rails and digital asset networks.
- Detect delays or stuck transactions, investigate the root cause, and proactively unblock them.
- Maintain clear visibility on pending payments and provide internal teams with accurate status updates.
- Follow the Money Trail
- Trace the full lifecycle of payments-from client initiation to settlement-across banks, payment partners, and blockchain ledgers.
- Identify breaks or mismatches in the flow and drive quick resolution with internal teams and external partners.
- Execute Trades & Settlements
- Support liquidity management by executing crypto/fiat trades and conversions when required.
- Coordinate settlements with counter parties and ensure funds are received and posted correctly.
- Reconcile & Report
- Perform daily reconciliations between Nilos' unified ledger, banking partners, payment providers, and blockchain explorers.
- Produce operational and financial reports for internal finance, compliance, and management teams.
- Client & Partner Communication
- Be the go-to point of contact for payment status queries from clients and partners.
- Provide timely, transparent updates when payments are delayed, explaining the reason and next steps.
- Build trust through consistent, proactive communication.
- Optimize & Automate Processes
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to streamline payment workflows and reduce manual interventions.
- Identify opportunities to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability of operations through tools and process redesign.
- 3+ years experience in payment operations, treasury operations, settlements, or transaction monitoring (fintech, payments, banking, or crypto exchange preferred).
- Strong understanding of cross-border payments, multi-currency settlements, and blockchain-based transactions.
- Analytical & investigative skills: you love digging into data, spotting anomalies, and solving operational mysteries.
- Client-facing confidence: ability to communicate clearly and calmly with customers under time-sensitive circumstances.
- Comfortable with trading environments (executing FX or crypto trades) and reconciling complex ledgers.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced startup environment.
