- Design and optimize thermodynamic and adsorption-based systems for VOC recovery and neutralization
- Plan and execute lab and pilot-scale experiments, focusing on thermal cycles, pressure control, and regeneration
- Perform mass and energy balances on system components (e.g., gas loops, heat exchangers, compressors, adsorbent beds)
- Analyze system performance (e.g., ΔP, cooling loads, adsorption capacity) and model energy usage, and cycling efficiency
- Characterize zeolites and adsorbents using XRD, SEM/TEM, BET, TGA/DTA, FTIR, and elemental analysis (e.g., ICP, LIBS) to assess structure, morphology, porosity, stability, and composition.
- Contribute to documentation, SOPs, and IP generation
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong foundation in thermodynamics, mass and energy balances, and gas flow behavior
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment: heat exchangers, compressors, blowers, flow meters, adsorption beds
- Experience with instrumentation and sensors for pressure, temperature, and flow rate measurement
- Familiarity with zeolite and adsorbent characterization methods as outlined above
- Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python for experimental data analysis and system modeling
- Clear written and verbal communication in English
- Experience with SolidWorks
- Background in VOC capture, adsorption media, or emission control systems
- Experience in scaling from lab to pilot
- Exposure to statistical tools (e.g., DoE, regression analysis)
- Be part of a mission-driven team tackling industrial sustainability and clean air
- Work in a well-equipped R&D lab in Herzliya with direct input into system design and scale-up
- Contribute to real-world climate impact with a novel energy-saving technology
