this role will be responsible for supporting the Lead Electrical Engineer in executing and overseeing electrical maintenance and testing tasks. This role requires ensuring safe and efficient operations compliant with EHS standards, performing high-voltage system operations, and collaborating across various departments. The position demands strong technical knowledge, effective communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and team performance enhancement. Availability for emergency calls is essential to maintain plant reliability.Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities
- The electrical engineer will provide significant support to the lead electrical engineer
- Carrying out electrical maintenance works and tests as part of the electrical team in a safe and efficient manner, in compliance with the EHS requirements
- Ensuring maintenance works execution in field, report and record into maintenance management software
- Performing switching and shortening operations of high voltage systems
- The Electrical Engineer will interact with I&C, Mechanical, operation departments and contractors Interfaces:
- All Power Station personnel
- Suppliers of goods and services/contractors
- Experts, consultants, and engineers across the globe
- A degree in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)
- Electrical Engineer License Holder (Mandatory)
- At least Four years of experience in power plant or heavy industry (An advantage)
- Testing background and protections knowledge (An advantage)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good and effective communication skills in English
- Strong ability for self-management, compliance with deadlines and personal
- Strong motivation to drive employee performance
- In-depth knowledge of the Electrical Law and Israel regulations
- Good knowledge of Electrical engineering practices - High/Low voltage equipment such has transformers, motors, generators, ups and other heavy industrial systems.
- Understanding of maintenance management concepts and practices
- An intuitive approach to Troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Plant reliability is a core value therefore availability for emergency calls at any time and day of the week, including nights, weekends, holidays and outages required.
- Completion of maintenance activities according to a defined schedule , report and record on time.
