Offer DescriptionJoin Our Lab: Investigating the Role of the Microbiome in Chronotype and Diurnal PreferenceAre you passionate about unraveling the mysteries of the gut microbiome and its impact on host behavior? Are you eager to contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of microbiology, neuroscience, and chronobiology? If so, we invite talented and motivated PhD students and postdoctoral fellows to join our dynamic research team. Our lab is at the forefront of exploring the intricate relationship between the gut microbiome and chronotype - the behavioral manifestation of an individual's internal circadian rhythms. We have recently secured funding from the ISF (Israel Science Foundation) agency to further our investigation into the role of the microbiome in determining chronotype and diurnal preference. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to engage in groundbreaking research that spans molecular biology, genetics, and behavioral neuroscience. You will work in a collaborative and supportive environment where your ideas and contributions are valued. Our lab is committed to fostering the development of aspiring scientists, providing mentorship, training, and resources to help you thrive in your academic journey.RequirementsResearch Field Biological sciences » Biology Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsQualified candidates must have a PhD in Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or related fields, be able to work collaboratively and maintain a supportive environment in the lab, and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Preference will be given to recent PhD candidates with experience in molecular genetics, biochemistry, translation control mechanisms, and/or circadian biology. Experience working with rodents, including handling, behavioral assays, and experimental procedures, would be advantageous.Additional InformationWork Location(s)Number of offers available 1 Company/Institute University of Haifa Country Israel GeofieldWhere to apply E-maileran.tauber@gmail.comContact CityHaifa WebsiteStreet199 Abba-Hushi Avenue Postal Code3103301STATUS: EXPIRED
