- Design Leadership & Strategy - Lead the end-to-end design process from user research and concept development to final implementation, establishing design systems and standards across all Bookaway products.
- User-Centered Design - Conduct user research, create personas and journey maps, and design wireframes through high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile platforms.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with engineering, product management, and marketing teams to translate business requirements into compelling user experiences while ensuring design feasibility and brand consistency.
- Data-Driven Design - Use qualitative and quantitative insights to inform and validate design decisions, developing KPIs and iterating based on real-world user feedback and conversion data.
- Promote Design Thinking - Advocate for the user and build strong narratives that communicate design rationale clearly to diverse stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- Design Operations - Manage design project timelines, establish efficient workflows with cross-functional teams, and maintain comprehensive design documentation and asset libraries.
- 6+ years of UI/UX design experience in marketplace, e-commerce, or travel industry with proven track record of leading design processes and facilitating design strategies
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates excellence in UX/UI design for complex, multi-platform digital products (web + mobile, with mobile-first approach).
- Strong user research and data analysis skills with ability to conduct usability testing and derive actionable insights from user behavior data
- Cross-functional collaboration experience with proven ability to work independently while partnering effectively with engineering, product, and business teams
- Proficiency in Figma and an understanding of design systems, responsive design principles, and design handoff processes
- Excellent communication skills with experience presenting design decisions to stakeholders and building strong narratives around design rationale
- Experience with AI-driven design workflows and processes, with additional advantage given to candidates who have designed AI-powered product features.
