We are a boutique, well-established Israeli cybersecurity company, building impactful solutions that help prevent serious digital crimes such as child exploitation and other global threats.We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer - a highly independent and technically versatile individual contributor - to take full ownership of a mission-critical product within our portfolio. In this role, you'll sit within a strong engineering team but will lead the architecture, redesign, and hands-on development of a tactical product undergoing a strategic shift.This is a unique opportunity for an experienced engineer who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys technical autonomy, and wants to create deep technological impact.Your Role:

Take full technical ownership of a strategic product - lead design, architecture, and implementation
Rebuild the core architecture from scratch as the product shifts to a new operating paradigm
Operate in a multi-language, cross-platform environment (.NET, C++, Go, Python - depending on context)
Evaluate and select the right tools and technologies per use case; we care not only about how you build, but why
Navigate across systems: from low-level Linux environments, containers, and network-heavy contexts to backend services and even Android
Contribute to shaping the future of a product with real-world impact, as part of a forward-thinking R&D group

Requirements:

5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a strong track record of delivering complex systems
Deep, practical experience with Linux:
Comfortable designing and operating within Linux-based environments
Experience running external tools and performing system-level tasks
Strong understanding of Linux networking
Solid grasp of network protocols, deployment architecture, and on-prem API environments
Proficiency with Docker / Kubernetes
High degree of technical independence - ability to ramp up quickly, understand existing systems, and lead major changes
Bonus: Background in network research or reverse engineering
