A company in our portfolio is seeking a senior R&D leader to join its executive team and drive the company's technology vision.This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-impact engineering organization and shape innovative products for global markets.In this role, you will:

Lead the full R&D lifecycle-from concept and prototyping to development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
Define and implement the technology roadmap; make architecture and technology stack decisions that balance innovation, performance, and maintainability.
Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team
Promote a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and accountability; adopt and refine development best practices.
Collaborate with product, business, and executive teams to align technology initiatives with business goals and customer needs.
Oversee recruitment, professional development, and team structure to meet organizational objectives.

The ideal candidate has:

5-10+ years in R&D leadership (VP or equivalent), preferably within startup environments.
Demonstrated success scaling teams of 30-50+ engineers, ideally in SaaS.
Strong foundation in software architecture, coding practices, and system design.
Familiarity with modern development technologies and cloud infrastructure.
Proven ability to inspire, mentor, and develop technical talent.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Prior experience in a startup environment and/or delivering products in regulated or global markets
