
Technical Sales Engineer- Israel

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of clean energy by driving product strategy, supporting technical pre-sales activities, managing certifications, influencing customer decisions, and ensuring seamless end-to-end service delivery.
Interviews will be held in English.Responsibilities:
- Lead technical pre-sales activities, including customer meetings to assess technical requirements and develop tailored solution proposals based on Sungrow’s product portfolio.
- Own the end-to-end service process – from solution delivery to after-sales technical support – ensuring seamless implementation, customer satisfaction, and long-term reliability. This is a core part of the role and vital to Sungrow’s customer experience.
- Drive product certification processes, coordinating with Sungrow HQ and local offices to meet all relevant standards (e.g., SII, IEC, etc.).
- Support tender processes, including preparation of technical documentation and follow-up with customers at the technical level.
- Manage product presentations and technical documentation, ensuring content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with product strategy.
- Influence purchasing decisions by clearly articulating the technical, commercial, and service advantages of Sungrow’s solutions.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including EPCs, IPPs, investors, and distributors, to ensure smooth project execution and customer alignment.
- Benchmark Sungrow products against competitors to inform strategic positioning and continuous improvement.
- Represent Sungrow at national and international trade fairs, conferences, webinars and training sessions showcasing product capabilities and gathering market insights.
- Travel regularly within Israel for customer visits, with occasional travel to Europe and Sungrow’s headquarters in China.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering - power electronics, or a comparable higher education qualification.
- At least two years of experience in technical product management, technical support or sales engineering. With preference in the renewables energy industry Inverters, ESS, EV Charging, EPC.
- Strong technical understanding on inverter products and/or energy storage systems in the C&I segment with commercial sales knowledge - advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken - mandatory. Chinese language skills- plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Very good knowledge in MS-Office and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel domestic and internationally on a regular basis.
