Recognized for helping enterprises deliver enterprise-wide analytics at scale, Iguazio's advanced Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) pipeline enables clients to streamline and manage their AI, from the initial concept all the way to production, in a simplified and automated manner.Join Iguazio as a Backend & Platform Engineering Team Lead and lead a high-impact team driving innovation across our Data Science PaaS and open-source MLOps and GenAI projects.In this role, you'll apply your leadership experience to shape and evolve a modern, rapidly maturing codebase, working deeply within the Kubernetes ecosystem and solving a range of complex infrastructure challenges. As both a people and technology leader, you'll foster a culture of excellence, ownership, and continuous learning. You'll be responsible for mentoring and growing engineers, guiding key architectural decisions, and delivering scalable, production-grade solutions in Python and Go. You'll join a fast-moving team tackling real-world problems with cutting-edge technologies-and play a pivotal role in defining the future of AI in production.Your responsibilities will include:

Leading, mentoring, and growing a team of backend engineers working on Iguazio's platform and open-source contributions
Owning the delivery of key features and initiatives, from discovery and design through implementation and integration
Driving architectural decisions and ensuring alignment with product and business goals
Collaborating cross-functionally with product, QA, and data science teams to deliver a seamless ML and generative AI experience
Encouraging engineering best practices, code quality, and operational excellence across the team
Contributing hands-on to the codebase when needed, setting the technical bar and leading by example
Bringing in innovation and technical exploration in areas like distributed systems, Kubernetes, and cloud-native infrastructure

Your Qualifications and Skills

6+ years of proven experience managing or leading engineering teams, including hiring, performance management, and career growth
Strong background in backend development and systems architecture, particularly with Python and/or Go
Hands-on experience with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native technologies
Deep understanding of the Kubernetes ecosystem and modern platform engineering practices
Track record of delivering production-grade systems, with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, and security
Passion for building high-performing teams and cultivating an environment of collaboration and accountability
