- Develop detailed convoy plans aligned with Appitrack and slipform construction schedules and organizational goals.
- Coordinate convoy routes, timings, and sequencing with internal planning and site execution teams.
- Secure all necessary traffic management arrangements, permits, and escort services.
- Forecast convoy needs and resource allocation to meet project milestones.
- Directly manage convoy departure, in-transit progress, and site arrival to ensure execution matches the plan.
- Oversee loading/unloading to ensure correct handling of specialized tracklaying machinery and components.
- Implement contingency measures to minimize impact of delays, breakdowns, or route issues on project targets.
- Enforce strict adherence to project safety protocols and road traffic regulations.
- Conduct pre-departure safety checks and team briefings for convoy staff.
- Report, record, and investigate all incidents or near misses.
- Track convoy performance against project schedules and organizational KPIs.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery confirmations, and operational records.
- Provide daily, weekly, and milestone-based reports to management, highlighting successes and improvement areas.
- Ensure optimal allocation of vehicles, drivers, and escort teams.
- Monitor fuel usage, vehicle conditions, and maintenance schedules.
- Recommend process improvements to reduce costs and increase efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Equivalent technical diploma with relevant operational experience may be considered.
- Understanding of track construction sequencing and material/equipment handling.
- Familiarity with restricted-access work environments (e.g., tunnels, urban rail corridors).
- Knowledge of planning and scheduling tools (Primavera, MS Project) is an advantage.
- 5+ years in convoy/logistics management within railway construction, heavy civil works, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Hands-on experience with Appitrack and/or slipform tracklaying preferred.
- Knowledge of heavy load transport regulations, road safety, and logistics optimization.
- Knowledge of planning and scheduling tools (Primavera, MS Project) is an advantage.
