If you're passionate about data and helping companies improve their security posture, we'd love to have you join Avalor as we make the world a more secure place.**Responsibilities**We're looking for an experienced Enineering Manager to join our Data Applications and Platform team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering, you'll be responsible for:

Building, Leading, and mentoring a team of 4-7 Software Engineers, in all aspects while emphasizing personal example and hands-on capabilities
Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture that supports growth and innovation
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of key data projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively
Provide technical guidance and ensure that best practices are followed in solution design and implementation and monitoring, troubleshooting, of the team's microservices

What We're Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

2+ years of experience in a management role, preferably overseeing data applications and data platforms.
5+ years of hands-on experience in at least one high-level backend language (Java, Node.js, Python, C#) and a relevant framework (e.g., Spring, Django).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience with microservice architecture (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies) and and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases and building complex data pipelines.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Familiarity with Temporal.
Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, Pydantic, or similar tool).
