You'll head a high-impact data-platform squad that ingests and processes about 2 million Kafka messages per second, owning the pipelines and storage layers that power one of our core systems.What You'll Do

Lead and mentor our Amplification team within our data organization.
Take full ownership of end-to-end feature development, from design to production. Contribute to building and designing innovative big data solutions.
Drive high-level projects with company-wide visibility.
Manage the team roadmap, team building, and SW project execution.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including developers, product managers, and business operations.
Research core technologies and integrate with external APIs and services.

What will I bring?

2+ years of experience in leading an engineering team.
6+ years of experience as a developer, tech lead, or architect.
4+ years of experience in Python, Java, Scala, Go- One of them, a Must!
Strong system architecture knowledge.
Experience in building high-volume and scalable applications.
Proficiency with cluster technologies, distributed systems, or streaming applications.
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experience with Big Data tools- Spark/Hadoop/Flink- An advantage!
Experience with Vertica/ Redis/ Elasticsearch- An advantage!
Familiarity with Scrum methodologies.
Familiarity with cloud providers- AWS, GCP, Azure- An advantage!
Working knowledge of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and rollout plans.
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
Proactive team player with a desire to impact our engineering team, product, and customers.
