As a subsidiary of SolarEdge Technologies, a global leader in smart energy solutions, we combine startup agility with the backing of a world-class energy tech company.With a fully cloud-native stack, advanced AWS architecture, and modern full-stack development practices, we're scaling intelligent, distributed, and AI-powered energy infrastructure.We are looking for a hands-on R&D Lead to lead our elite team of 7 full-stack developers, shaping the future of our platform as we enter a critical phase of scale, automation, and AI-native transformation.We're seeking someone who codes, architects, and deploys alongside the team, while bringing strong technical vision, mentoring, and a strategic eye for long-term innovation.What you will be doing:

Lead and scale a high-performing engineering organization
Drive an AI-first development strategy across the entire R&D roadmap
Own architectural decisions and long-term tech strategy
Represent engineering in executive forums and roadmap planning
Operate as a player-coach, contribute to coding, reviews, deployment architecture
Ensure efficient CI/CD, quality, performance, and resilience in production systems
Mentor engineers, elevate technical bar, and grow leadership within the team

Requirements:What YOU Bring:

Proven experience as Head of Engineering, R&D Lead, or senior engineering leader in a fast-paced, cloud-native product company
Deep hands-on expertise in frontend/backend (we use Java & Flutter), and the ability to context-switch across frontend/backend
AWS practitioner - ideally with experience across compute, networking, security, serverless, and data streaming
Passionate about clean architecture, DevOps, CI/CD, testing, observability, and scale
Excellent communicator and team builder with a bias toward delivery

It's an advantage if you have:

Experience with edge computing, EV infrastructure, or IoT platforms
Track record of leading teams through 10x scale-up phases
